Evening, Füsters!
First, let GG congratulate you on making it to very nearly the end of the game! If you take a look around the Spielbrett, you might notice that our cadre of fellow Füsters has been cut down to about a third of those who started way back on January 2nd so pat yourself on the back for your stalwart dedication to self and for having the inner strength and discipline to finish out something you committed to way back in 2025!
A couple things of note . . . tomorrow is the last Fastentag of the game. Make it through one final dawn to dusk clear liquids only fast and if you did all nine then you’ll be able to score the Hungry Ghost Completion Bonus worth +15p! You get one last chance to be hangry and irritable with an excuse! This week is also the final week of Side Quest play so those of you sitting on the bubble for finishing out your SQ Completion Bonus (+20p!), it’s now or never. You can still earn a huge +10 Side Quest Coins if you haven’t done the Snow Angel (and you can find some snow after what felt like a week of Spring out here on the West Coast) or +6 Coins if you can find a paid event. The game’s never over till it’s over!
Now, here’s your game play summary for Week 9:
Daily exercise requirement = 2 Singelts, 2 Doppelts, 2 Trippelts, 1 Rest Day (yes, same as last week)
Homework is as per usual
Fasting: Final fast of the game tomorrow, March 2nd
Bonuses (go here for full details):
A Long Winter Wog - 12 miles (Trippelt)
Plank - 3 minutes
So Many Stairs - 100 flights (Singelt)
Triplefüsten (Trippelt)
Weighted Walk - 45 pounds for 1 mile (Singelt)
Side Quests (go here for full details):
Lucky Friend Gift #8
Sponsorfüsten
Yoga Class
That’s it for now. We’ve got one last full moon rising up on Tuesday night (details out that morning). This week is a bit of a hybrid heavy lift before next week’s final Höllenwhoche event. Good time to start thinking about your Drachenfüste! For those Neo-Füstes left here, slaying your Drachen is the final expression of physical effort for Winterfüste (and really what you’ve been training for all Winter)! The Drachen is equal to FIVE Singelts all done back to back to back to back to back in a single event and is worth a huge +20p bonus. You must propose your Drachen to GG before attempting it so that he can clear you for slayage (or tell you to go back to the drawing board if your proposal doesn’t meet the standard). And yes, you can slay your Drachen early if you want, starting next Saturday ( you don’t have to wait until Week 10 to put that big fire eating lizard down!)
Hope everyone has a great penultimate week of WF26!
